This entry consists of two reports from DWS News Reporter Michael Kiser. The first report aired on March 9th, 2012, and is the result of a sit down interview with the University of Illinois President, who had just been scolded by the university board of trustees for not working well with faculty. President Hogan later resigned. The lead-in into the story is as follows: "University of Illinois President Michael Hogan says a letter from faculty members calling for his resignation was a wake-up call to him to address concerns of the faculty. Michael Kiser reports."
The second report (at 1:33) aired on March 23rd, 2012, and gives an update on the recovery process of three University of Illinois campustown restaurants that were heavily damaged in a fire one year prior to the story's airing. The reporter enterprised this story on his own and was able to get a candid interview by keeping in touch with the business owner throughout the year. The lead-in to the story is as follows: "One year ago today, a building on the University of Illinois campus was struck by a fire, forcing three businesses to close their doors.
