Monday, September 22 2:15 p.m. -Re-airing of Stevie Jay's Monday morning visit with Illini Football Coach Ron Zook. 3:15 p.m. -RD Rosen on "A Buffalo in the House," which is the heartwarming story of an abandoned buffalo calf who was adopted by Rosen. 3:45 p.m. THE METTLER CENTER'S HEALTH NEWS YOU CAN USE 4:15 p.m. -The true story of Craig Glazer who decided to fight back after being ripped off by drug dealers. With his partner, they became a modern day Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and orchestrated their own 'stings.' Glazer would soon become known as "The King of Sting," which is the title of his book detailing their 1970s adventures. Tuesday, September 23 2:15 p.m. -Librarian Vicki Myron, who was awarded a $1.2 million book contract to write about Dewey, the library cat that charmed everyone who met him. Dewey was dropped into the book return slot when he was a wee kitten and the librarians adopted him. Since then, he has become the most famous library cat in the world. 3:15 p.m. -David Maranis on his outstanding biography of baseball hall-of-famer Roberto Clemente. 4:15 p.m. -Larry Olmsted on his book "Getting Into Guinness: One Man's Longest, Fastest, Highest Journey Inside The World's Most Famous Record Book." Wednesday, September 24 2:15 p.m. -Greg Knott will discuss "Bevier Cafe," "The Spice Box" and the good work the students do in the University of Illinois' Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition. 3:15 p.m. -to be announced -4:15 p.m. -Playwright and Screenwriter Mark Stein, who wrote "Housesitter" starring Goldie Hawn and Steve Martin, on his career in Hollywood plus his latest book "How the States Got Their Shape." Thursday, September 25 The St. Louis Cardinals take on the Arizona Diamondbacks. Friday, September 26 -2:15 p.m. -The Billy Barooz/Guido's ILLINI NOTEBOOK with the voice of the Fighting Illini, Brian Barnhart. -3:15 p.m. -.Rodney Davis from the Lincoln Studies Center on the infamous Lincoln-Douglas Denates and how those debates relate to this year's Presidential election. -4:15 p.m. -re-airing of Stevie Jay's Friday morning visit with the hall-of-famer Mike Ditka.Comments
