His book is 'Stealing Elections: How Voter Fraud Threatens Our Democracy." 3:15 p.m. -Adam Shepard on his inspiring memoir in which he, in his 'anti-nickel and dimed' experiment to see if the Amercian Dream is still possible, gets off a train in Charleston, South Carolina and spends 70 days in a homeless shelter with the goal of having $2500, a car, and a place to live by the end of the year. His story is told in the book "Scratch Beginnings: Me, $25 and the Search for the American Dream." 4:15 p.m. -Peter Mansoor, recently retired U.S. Army colonel who served as executive officer to Commanding General David H. Petraeus and was a member of the Joint chiefs of Staff Strategy Group that proposed the surge strategy in Iraq in 2007. His book is "Baghdad at Sunrise: A Brigade Commander's War in Iraq." Wednesday, October 15 We will broadcast the entire show from the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum in Springfield. Lincoln scholars and museum staff responsible for museum acquisitions, special productions and it's daily operation will be among our special guests. Krannert Center's Public Information Director Bridget Lee Calfas and special guests discuss upcoming events. Friday, October 17 -2:15 p.m. -The Billy Barooz/Guido's ILLINI NOTEBOOK with the voice of the Fighting Illini, Brian Barnhart. -3:15 p.m. -Cheryl Ganz, a chief curator at the Smithsonian National Postal Museum in Washington D.C. She will discuss Chicago's second World's Fair through the eyes of technology, ethnicity and gender. Her book is "The 1933 Chicago World's Fair: A Century of Progress." -4:15 p.m. -re-airing of Stevie Jay's Friday morning visit with the hall-of-famer Mike Ditka.
