Abuse victim files suit against White, Urbana school district
URBANA – A civil suit brought by one of the child victims of former Urbana elementary teacher Jon White was filed Friday in federal court, said Champaign lawyer Ellyn Bullock, who represents the family. The child's mother is also a plaintiff.
Defendants named in the 33-count complaint include White, who has been convicted of 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, eight in Champaign County and two in McLean County.
