Jim Lewis

I was born and raised here in central Illinois. I graduated from Mahomet-Seymour in 1995 and started going to Parkland College that fall. That fall, I also started working at WDWS/WHMS. I could go into detail and write down all of the duties I've had here, but it would be shorter to say what I haven't done....sales. I have done and still do most everything else here at the stations.

I met my wife, (well, at the time she wasn't my wife) in 1996 and Sept 20 1997, we were married. We chose that date because it is my parents' anniversary as well as her parents' anniversary. In May 2000 my first daughter was born, in Nov. 2001 my second daughter was born, and in April 2005 my son (finally!) was born. That's it. We are done. It's time for my sister to supply the grandkids.

The show I am probably most known for is the Saturday morning show "Dealing with Jim Lewis" It's the show where I take your phone calls with items you are buying and selling and airs 6am-8am. I have been doing that show since 1998. I also keep a list of all the items that are called into the show.

I would say the best part about working here is that no two days are the same. One day I could be sitting at my desk all day; the next I'll be in the one or all of the five different studios all day and spend only fifteen minutes at my desk. Being able to do everything here is the best.

Oh, I almost forgot....my fave color is red, my fave pig-out food peanut butter chocolate ice cream and I am so the Star Wars freak. And no Johnny-Come-Lately fan, either. I've been bulls-eying wamprats at Beggar's Canyon for years and have a frequent buyer's card at the Tosche station. They have the best power converters!
