The mayor of Urbana is standing by her decision to cut funding to the Champaign County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Mayor Laurel Prussing was a guest today on the WDWS NewsTalk 1400-AM [2] morning show with Dave Gentry and Elizabeth Hess.
Prussing cut nearly $72,000 of funding [3] for the bureau in June. There's since been a heated debate on whether to restore a portion of the funding.
Prussing, however, says the city is just not getting a return on its investment.

I don't say this often, but I am proud of the mayor!
WOW...a democrat not in favor of more taxes in liberal Urbana no less.....fantastic!!
Good choice for the mayor! I want to know on how to become a police officer [11] and serve in their community.
