Parkland debuts online tuition calculator

Students who will be attending Parkland College in Champaign have a new way to find out how much they'll have to pay.

   Parkland has launched an online net price calculator, where potential students can enter their financial information and find an estimate of how much they'll have to pay out of pocket to attend the college.

     Parkland Director of Financial Aid Tim Wendt said tools like these are popping up at institutions across the country.

He said the online calculator isn't exact, but it does give students a good indication of what they can expect to pay.
